Please see below details of our free forthcoming online MSK Zoom sessions for coming months to which you and your colleagues are welcome to attend as part of our Autumn education series. 

Our sessions are tailored and suitable for GPs, Physiotherapists, Physician Associates and other healthcare professionals with an MSK/ Orthopaedic interest. 

Please note that all of the sessions below will start at 7pm- finishing between 8.15pm - 8.30pm and are via zoom:
 

Monday 26th September 

“The assessment and management of knee pain, to include some case discussions" with Mr Faisal (Fraz) Hussain, Consultant Knee and Shoulder Orthopaedic Surgeon, The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham, 

Some topics will include:

Common knee problems and assessment, the role of injections and covid risks, clinical case studies, examination.
 

Thursday 6th October  

"Foot and Ankle pain in primary Care" with Mr Mark Herron, Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon. 

Some topics will include: 

Perspective and practical suggestions, ankle sprains, Achilles problems, flat feet, heel pain, arthritis.
 

Thursday 20th October

"Shoulder examination and common conditions" with Professor Martyn Snow, Consultant Knee and Shoulder Orthopaedic Surgeon, The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham, and the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital, Oswestry.

Some topics covered will include:

Common problems and assessment, shoulder examination, the role of injections, the frozen shoulder, clinical case studies.
 

Thursday 10th November

"Rotator cuff tears: Pathology, diagnosis and management” with Mr Samir Massoud,  Consultant Knee and Shoulder Orthopaedic Surgeon, The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham.

Some topics covered will include: 

Pathology, cuff anatomy, cuff function, neck movement, injections, impingement, diagnosis, tears, repairs and risk factors. 
 

Wednesday 16th November

‘Shoulder joint injections” with Mr Marcus Green (via zoom), Consultant Knee and Shoulder Orthopaedic Surgeon, The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham,

Some topics to be covered will include:

Indications for shoulder injections, anatomy, techniques, injection materials, outcomes, complications.
