Please see below details of our free online (via zoom), orthopaedic/ MSK study sessions, tailored for GPs, Physiotherapists and other AHPs with an MSK interest, to which you are welcome to attend as part of our 2024 new year education schedule. 

Please note that the timings for all of the sessions below are via ZOOM from 7pm- 8.30pm:

Tuesday 16th January 2024:

Hip pain patterns and management- including case studies, with Mr Ronan Treacy. 

Topics will include:

  1. Changes to the THR pathway,

  3. Common hip conditions, referred pain, pain patterns, osteoarthritis,

Wednesday 7th February 2024:

Biological solutions for the knee and shoulder - the future of orthopaedics? with Mr Marcus Green.

Thursday 14th March

Shoulders: Breaking the Myths! withMr Faisal (Fraz) Hussain. 

Topics to include:

1.    Causes of anterior shoulder pain
2.    Treatment of impingement (when to inject and when to refer)
3.    Frozen shoulders (identification and treatment)
4.    Long head of biceps issues
5.    Massive cuff tears. what are the new treatment options
6.    Shoulder replacements (anatomic and reverse) when to refer and what are the realistic outcomes in function.
7.    Instability. the acute dislocator compared to the multidirectional instability. 
8.    ACJ problems.(dislocation or OA)
