As of the end December 2023, Mr Green has resigned from his NHS post at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, a position he has held since 2003 (having first come to the ROH in 1984 as a medical student and deciding then that he would quite like a job there as a consultant).
Although leaving the NHS he will continue his outpatient work at the Circle Priory Hospital in Edgbaston, and his outreach clinic at Ashfurlong medical centre offering accessibility for private patients for Outpatient consultations. He will still be operating at the Priory Hospital.

As you may be aware Mr Green is an enthusiastic hot air balloonist flying in the English team, as well as being very actively involved with the teaching of GPs, physiotherapists and medical community. The decision to step down from his NHS commitments will allow him to dedicate more time to the passions of competition ballooning and educating.
